Our Process
Developing and delivering a custom program is a four-step process:

Denise Schubert, Eller College
Director of Executive Education.
Step 1: Exploratory Meetings
The Director of Executive Education meets with the company’s managers and stakeholders to review strategic goals and objectives. The preliminary needs assessment facilitates a better understanding of the company’s challenges, leading to the identification of specific learning objectives. Based on the outcome of these meetings, a proposal outlining the suggested curriculum is presented for discussion and review. Once the proposal has been refined and accepted, the project moves into the development phase.
Step 2: Program Development
Once the needs and objectives of the organization have been established, faculty and industry experts are selected based on their formal areas of expertise as well as specific industry knowledge or experience relevant to the audience. Through a collaborative, multi-step process, curriculum is carefully developed by participating faculty and outside experts. During the development stage, optimal results are achieved when instructors have ready access to key personnel within the client organization for purposes of discussion and feedback, as well as access to pertinent data/internal reports relevant to topics covered and learning objectives of the company.
Step 3: Program Delivery
Custom programs are a minimum of one day in length, and may be considerably longer based on the needs of the organization. Classes are dynamic and participatory – attendees will engage in inter-session activities, and exercises designed to transfer knowledge back into your organization are integrated into each program. Classes may be conducted in our new state-of-the-art facility in Scottsdale, Arizona; McClelland Hall, Eller College of Management on the main campus of The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona; or at a designated facility of your choice.
Step 4: Program Feedback, Evaluation, and Review
Results and satisfaction with the program process and deliverables are gathered from program participants as well as other company stakeholders. Feedback and formal evaluations are jointly reviewed by the Executive Education staff and the company’s management team. After program completion, optional follow-up sessions can be designed to reinforce content deliverables.
