At no other time has the need for the delivery of the highest quality local government management training been more urgent. Foundations of Public Sector Leadership will prepare mid-level managers for the challenges of leading local government in today’s ever-evolving environment.
This five-day program will deliver the highest quality local government management training that will enthuse and inspire participants to put into practice what they have learned! Foundations of Public Sector Leadership represents a customized, cutting-edge program that has been collaboratively designed between local government leaders and renowned professors from the University of Arizona.
Seminars will be practical and interactive, providing participants with an opportunity to develop core competencies and skills that are essential for every local government manager. Topics include managing uncertainty and change, budgeting and financial management, communication, human resources, ethics, empowerment, personal brand management, and negotiations, as well as other topics of interest.
Participants will earn a Certificate in Management and Organizations from the University of Arizona and return to their public sectors with core competencies and skills in a broad range of topics. They will immediately be able to build lasting trust and lead more effectively through targeted internal communication and conflict management techniques.
