New UA Study Finds Computer Mouses Could Detect Liars

Lie detectors may be a thing of the past. A professor at the University of Arizona Eller College of Management is sharing new findings that can tell if a person is lying or telling the truth. Professor Joe Valacich says by studying how a person moves a computer mouse, this could “significantly differentiate” if a person was being honest or not. “The study was focused on the understanding whether we could use alternative methods for evaluating if honesty or the truthfulness of someone is being answered with a series of questions… much like a polygraph,” he said.
