Eller Executive Education Partners with Dignity Health Global Education for Mini MBA
Eller Executive Education, the non-degree leadership development arm of the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management, is partnering with Dignity Health Global Education (DHGE) to offer a portfolio of educational opportunities as part of the creation of Healthcare Business and Management Academy. The range of programs include a Mini MBA in healthcare and a certificate for Women in Business Leadership.
Eller is the 13th DHGE partner to be signed. Eller Executive Education is one of the leading global providers of delivering organizational development solutions to companies around the world, earning a number 5 ranking in the U.S. and number 15 ranking globally—ahead of Wharton, UCLA and several other prestigious institutions—for customized executive education in the Financial Times Executive Education Ranking 2019. As a trusted resource for developing talent at all levels, Eller Executive Education helps organizations achieve a future-forward mindset, lead in digital transformation and create strong decision-making processes that drive objectivity and navigate through turbulence and complexity.
“DHGE and Eller Executive Education share the mindset that learning should be action-oriented, immediately applicable and measurable by impact, so the partnership is a natural fit,” says Kurt Hayes, chief learning experience officer at DHGE.
DHGE’s CEO Andrew Malley adds: “The partnership is of strategic importance to DHGE as our parent company CommonSpirit Health (formerly Dignity Health) has a large presence in Arizona. This will help us to achieve an impact on healthcare workforce development quickly—which ultimately means that we get to improve patient outcomes faster.”
Five joint programs are currently in development
DHGE and Eller Executive Education plan to offer a portfolio of educational opportunities that addresses a range of topics impacting the healthcare field, such as rural healthcare management, negotiating and decision-making, women in business leadership, and executive assistant development. A Mini MBA and a Certificate for Women in Business Leadership are scheduled to be released in October 2020, and Certificates in Executive Assistant Development, Rural Healthcare Management and Negotiation and Decision-Making are to follow in January 2021.
“The wide range of programs we will offer—from Mini MBAs to certificates in Rural Healthcare Management—will give healthcare professionals the tools to enhance their role and skill set and help us to create a leading healthcare business platform,” says Andrew. “This healthcare business platform will be developed to be a go-to center of excellence, and Eller is the best-in class partner to help achieve this. With fantastic partners like these, DHGE will have the most comprehensive offerings in healthcare in 2020 for our clients to upskill and educate their staff.”
“We know that healthcare is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the United States,” says Paulo B. Goes, Dean and Halle Chair in Leadership of the Eller College. “This partnership, which complements the work we are already doing in our Center for Management Innovations in Healthcare, will equip those aspiring to succeed in healthcare with the necessary and effective skills to achieve their career goals. At the same time, the Mini-MBA format is flexible, fits hyper-busy schedules and is a natural pipeline to our MBA degree programs. We’re excited to partner with DHGE on timely and relevant educational offerings.”
